HouSE RULES

We like to think of this section more like, “it’s so great here, this "House Rules!” rather than a list of boring stuff you can’t do, but even we need the occasional reminder. 

Check in is at 4PM and check out is at 11AM.  Please contact us ahead of your stay if you need to make any adjustments. We don't want to delay your arrival or rush you out and we can generally accommodate most requests.

The Landings is strictly a no smoking, vaping, or cigar property. This includes the patio and pool deck. While we don’t judge, we do need to keep our promise of a smoke-free environment to all of our guests. No candles or open flames either, please. We live in a wood house surrounded by, well, woods.

We like pets.  Love them actually. That noted, many of our friends and guests are allergic to different varieties of furry friends.  To keep the space inviting for everyone, the property is pet-free. 

Please turn off the AC units when you leave. Power costs about 4 times what it does in the states and it’s not unusual to receive a $1000 power bill if everything is running. 

The trash can is under the kitchen sink. Once full, please tie the bag and place it in the large can on the left (west) side of the house. Please do not place any trash in the bin that is not in a bag. (It attracts critters) Trash is collected Mondays by Moses.

No events, parties, or guests. The Landings is where you come to get away from it all! 

Please keep the noise/music to a dull roar.  We provide a bluetooth speaker and love listening to it by the pool but we have neighbors on both sides and noise travels.

No jumping or diving in the pool. (It’s shallow) Also please don't walk around the outer ledge of the pool. (We think this falls under the ‘no running with scissors’ category, but we add it as a reminder)

While we are talking about the pool - please use plastic ‘glasses’ on the pool deck or in the pool.  A broken glass in the living room is no big deal.  In the pool… that’s another matter entirely. Thanks!

If you break or lose something let us know! We are not going to be upset about (or charge you for) a broken plate or glass. We’d just like to know so that we can arrange a replacement.
